The Finland Application Process: Studyinfo Portal
All degree-programme applications in Finland are submitted through Studyinfo.fi — the national admissions portal. You can apply to up to 6 programmes with a single application form.
Finland has two main joint application periods. The January window (typically 7–21 January) covers the majority of English-taught programmes for autumn entry (starting September). A smaller spring window exists for a handful of programmes. Most Finnish research universities use entrance examinations alongside grades. These vary by programme — some are online tests of logic and subject knowledge; others are SAT-equivalent assessments. UAS programmes typically use portfolios or interviews instead. Results from the January application round are published from early February through to 27 May.
Once you receive an admission offer, confirm your place by the stated deadline. The university then issues a formal acceptance letter — you will need this for your Migri residence permit application. Simultaneously, confirm your scholarship award if applicable.

Finland Student Residence Permit: Migri Requirements
